A dissolution of the Legislative Assembly by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, and any other means provided for by the laws of Alberta, all qualify.\n\nAn announcement of an intention to call an election, a failed vote of no confidence, or the failure of coalition negotiations will not by itself qualify toward a “Yes” resolution.\n\nThe election need not take place by the deadline.
